About Us
Hammet House is independently owned & run by Owen & Philippa Gale.
We are a boutique country hotel in Pembrokeshire, with fine dining restaurant, relaxed library bar, wedding venue & extensive organic wine cellar.
We purchased the property in 2011, & set about transforming a beautiful but rather tired old country hotel into our vision of a contemporary-chic country house to delight the modern-day discerning guest.
You will usually find us on site, ably assisted by our friendly & passionate team.
Cornel Uys heads up the kitchen, creating the fine dining, bar & wedding & event menus.
Sian & the team oversee the front of house, & Sam & her team of housekeepers are usually busily keeping the place spic & span.
Since our opening in 2011, we are delighted to have been graded 4 star by The AA & Visit Wales, become a member of the prestigious Welsh Rarebits Hotel collection, & are recommended in The Michelin Guide 2014 & 2015.

"" Stayed for two nights, absolutely wonderful. Great location , with a lovely riverside walk next to it and the fabulous Wildlife Trust visitor centre and reserve not far away at all. Enjoyed the food, the chef puts a lot of effort into the menu and taste. I was shocked however to discover that there is only a 1 star for the scores on the door food safety inspection, it doesn't really stack up. I had expected a 5. "" Totally love this exceptional hotel. Artisitc décor - vintage finds, fine art photography and modern paintings mixed with cool lighting and furnishings make this hotel the best place to be wowed by your surroundings; inside and out. The food is outstanding, tasty, local and homemade and the customer service excellent. We stayed with our 4 children (we usually struggle to find accommodation to suit our small army) and experienced the superbly designed family room and the luxuries on offer - homemade flapjacks, teapigs tea, the fluffiest white towels and softest bedding. A pure delight and we are already planning a reason to return! ""
